Originally designed as a website, this project also functions effectively as a poster. The assignment challenged me to create an unconventional webpage by re-imagining a vintage Mexican prescription poster and incorporating elements from the Ernest Hemingway website. I chose to center my concept around the iconic tavern in Key West, drawing inspiration from the island’s well-known population of feral chickens. In a playful twist, I replaced the traditional parrot with a chicken, imagining it as a singing waiter. The project required thoughtful research to determine which elements from the Hemingway website were essential and how to integrate them meaningfully while staying true to the structure of the original poster layout.
