The goal of this project was to create a type specimen book, and I chose to feature Monarcha, a typeface designed by Isac Correa Rodrigues from Isaco Type. I was immediately drawn to its calligraphic style and the elegant fluidity with which it moves across the page.
Since Monarcha is inspired by the Baroque period, I designed the book with visual cues from that era to complement the typeface’s character. One unique detail: the pattern on the inner cover was created entirely using the lowercase “ r “ from the Monarcha typeface
